Multi-Family Buildings at Fushë-Krujë Reach Level 4
Single-family homes near completion, families begin moving in

ZA's post-disaster masterplan for the earth-quake affliced city of Fushë-Krujë is beginning to take shape. Structural concrete work has been completed up to Level 4 on the multi-family buildings and a majority of the single-family homes have been completed. Families displaced from damaged homes due to Albania's November 2019 earthquake have begun moving in, marking a major project milestone.
Once complete, the project will provided facilities for housing, education, healthcare, and recreation to 1,100 residents. The masterplan, designed by ZA in collaboration Tirana-based firm Varka and local Albanian engineers, was commissioned by the National Territorial Planning Agency of Albania (AKPT) in cooperation with the Albanian Ministry of Culture and the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama. The project is being implemented the Albanian Development Fund (ADF) with financial support coming an international community of post-disaster donors led by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
